Stuff no one will read:
Here it is! Finally got a decent morning to film the Akrapovic Slip-On installed on my 2023 BMW R1250RS. While I was not initially very impressed with this system, it does improve slightly on the factory BMW pipe. I'd say the Akra is about 10% louder, but with a much deeper and more pleasant tone. There is NO provision to remove the silencers on this model, due to new Euro5 regulations... I won't get more into that, but I must say this exhaust is NOT worth the money they want without the removable silencers to tune it to your individual liking. For nearly $1000 I expected much more noise, as that is basically the only reason (IMHO) to upgrade motorcycle exhaust. This Akrapovic Slip-On does look better than the stainless factory exhaust, and is .8lb/.36Kg lighter (yes I weighed them both to verify), but that still doesn't really justify the price tag. There might be some performance gain as stated on Akrapovic's website, but none that I could feel...

Notes:
1. I was pretty terrible at shifting, sorry.
2. I will not be doing an install video. If you can't handle a slip-on swap then you probably shouldn't be riding a motorcycle, or even using a computer for that matter...
2. I might try to remove the Akra silencers, but the process I found is irreversible, and potentially destructive, so I'm not really 100% committed at this point.
3. The open pipe (IMHO) sounded the best, and I might look into a custom setup based on that. Yup, I did it before on another BMW, but I think the bike needs a bit more fuel if I go that route.
4. As always, thanks for watching, and thanks even more if you read through all of this gibberish.
