Drum Practice Techniques - Drum Chart Practice

One of the most important drum practice techniques I have learned over the years is drum chart practice. In this lesson I share with you my method of practicing drum charts using the lead sheet for the tune Run For Cover by Marcus Miller.

Drum charts or song lead sheets are very common on Jazz gigs. Jazz drummers not only have to be able to read, we have to be able to play hits with the band. Learn how to do both in this video.
