HISTORY

Taramati Baradari is a caravan station located in Ibrahim gardens, Ram Dev Guda of Hyderabad Mandal in Telengana State of India. It was built by the Nizami Prince Ibrahim Quli Qutub Shah in the year 1880 AD. This is the great structure made in Persian style, which is well placed in the Ibrahim's royal garden alongside the Musi River. It is a historical monument site of touristic importance. The traders travelling towards the silk route do rest here for a while and travel from this sarai. It is in the Hyderabad district, which is the capital of Telengana State now. To come here, it is nigh connected by rails, roads and flights. The Samshadabad International airport is located here, making it international destination for tourism. Its nearest cities are Ahmadabad and Mumbai on its west, Vijayawada on the East; Chennai and Bangalore are the south junctions. Towards the north Bhopal, Itarsi and Indore are the nearest cities. Most places in Hyderabad do have a history behind their names. The stories are either related to the Nizam era or the British who established their cantonments in the city.
