The Story
For the past year and a half, G Unity Worldwide Educational and Community Events have participated in a variety of community engagement events and projects. We have made impacts in student’s lives through our volunteership in the classroom setting, by improving academic achievements while assisting with implementing classroom curriculum. We have also been involved with community events that give young people a sense of value within their communities. Through our leadership example, while acting as a positive influence we have raised personal expectations these young people need to encourage improved behaviors, with an understanding of consequences of not seeking out increased opportunities in and outside of school. Investing in the interests and values of the youth, we have increased interests in becoming involved, positive community participants. Emphasizing positive values and principles, will support the young person make better decisions, when faced with difficulty and/or choices facing them in the future. Focusing on self-worth has given the youth involved, a new found purpose and focus.
