Many new grants were awarded this season. Our goal is to provide a springboard for young talents, as we want to promote the dance scene and especially the talents at all levels.

A great success!

24 selected pieces were invited to the Dance Unit Gala and showed their skills on stage to an international jury of experts in the Luise-Albertz-Halle. We thank you ALL for this unforgettable and emotional evening ! #seeyouapril2025

Since 2019 a gala-event was created by the German Dance Unit organization and @tomekkdance for special choreographies.

The selection criteria have nothing to do with the placement of the championship. It is rather about originality of the pieces. To have a special recognition value is an advantage.

On the evening itself, an independent jury consisting of dancers, educators, professors and directors of the international dance scene will evaluate the performances. They will award the grants to the winners of the GDU Gala event.
