On the evening of 11th November 1927 HRH The Prince Of Wales made this speech at the Remembrance Festival at the Royal Albert Hall then held on the anniversary of the Armistice now held over the weekend closest to the date.
Prince Edward, The Prince Of Wales, took the salute at the Festival of Remembrance possibly due to King George V being unwell (anyone know better please leave a comment). This as the first time the commemoration as held at the Royal Albert Hall.
The Festival of Remembrance now held on the Saturday and the Remembrance Day commemorations are held on the Sunday, starting with minutes silence before the monarch and members of the royal family lay their wreaths at the Cenotaph followed by politicians then members of the Commonwealth Nations.
