The cell phone frequency bands are divided into sub-bands which are allocated to various operators. There are 3 to 4 carrier frequencies each carrying a power of 20W, allocated to one operator. There may be 3-4 operators on the same roof top or tower, thereby hundreds of watts of power is transmitted. This power should be limited to 1-2W. Cell tower radiation detector- DETEX 189 is used to measure radiation levels from mobile towers. Radiation Detector DETEX 189 has been designed for quick and easy detection of radiation levels at a given spot in any premises (home or office). The radiation levels are indicated by three LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes) - Green, Yellow and Red.
If only Green LED lights glow, it implies SAFE radiation levels.
If Yellow LED as well as Green LED light up, it implies that the radiation levels are in the CAUTION zone. Also, buzzer will start BEEPING intermittently.
If all the three LEDs light up, i.e. Red, Yellow and Green LEDs, it implies DANGER level of radiation. Also, buzzer will start BEEPING continuously.
