Fleetwood Branch Line by drone – Part 1 “The track is still there”

Closed since 1970, much of the old branch line from Poulton-le-Fylde to Fleetwood still has track, and is actively preserved by the Poulton & Wyre Railway Society, which is also campaigning for the line to be reopened.

This video traces the route of the line from Poulton to the current end of the tracks at Jameson Road in Fleetwood.

Part 2 will follow the routes of the lost sections of the line.

For privacy reasons all video of built up areas was shot from over 50m/160ft altitude
