"'The Lie' is the second single off the album ('Laguna Road'), and it’s about the beginning of our 20 year journey as a couple and as collaborators. The vows we made, the promises we broke, and the history we share, sometimes heavy, sometimes the only thing that kept us together, and that shaped who we are now.

"To create the visual world for the album, Julian Klincewicz would come by the house on Laguna Road now and then, just to shoot what was there. The studio, the kids, the chaos, the kitchen sink. On this particular day, us playing 'The Lie' in the living room. We did it a couple of times, and he captured us in one shot as we were—together, quiet, flawed.
