Marine Conservation Curriculum in The Alor Archipelago

Описание к видео Marine Conservation Curriculum in The Alor Archipelago

Local language is unique to the marine conservation curriculum. In the teaching process, Inpres Besar elementary school teacher Nurmawati said that many children know marine science, but the knowledge is conveyed in the local language.

She said many children are more familiar with the name "tongke" than mangrove. Another unique thing is that the children can already differentiate between dead and living coral reefs.

With the support of the McPZ Foundation, marine education has been successfully implemented in ten schools. In the future, we plan to reach out to more schools in the Alor archipelago. Stay tuned for more marine conservation curriculum videos.
