Synth Punks Kælan Mikla On Touring North America and Making New Music

Ghost Cult's crew caught up with Icelandic buzz band synth punks Kælan Mikla during the amazing Taste of Iceland event in New York City. The band was on their first-ever tour of the USA, which included Pasadena Daydream (handpicked by Robert Smith of The Cure), and Cold Waves Festival, and tour dates with their Artoffact Records labelmates Cloud Rat. Touring behind their 2018 album 'Nótt eftir nótt', in New York the band opened up for Solstafir and made quite an impression with their music and stage presence. We chatted with the band after their show at Brooklyn Brewery and talked about them coming to North America, how they formed the group, performing at Roadburn Festival, and their plans for new music in 2020.
