Hey guys! This is a video where I'm showing what I visited in Parga, Greece. We did a one-day trip from Ioannina and it was so great!
Sadly, the Venetial Castle was closed because of the pandemic restrictions, but we enjoyed walking around the city, relaxing a little bit at the beach and exploring the restaurants that were everywhere!
Some things about Parga: It's a beautiful coastal town in Greece, a hidden treasure that has it all - stunning scenery, fascinating history, and a vibrant atmosphere. Located on the Ionian coast, Parga offers breathtaking views, crystal-clear waters, and a relaxed vibe that will make you feel right at home.
As you arrive in Parga, you'll be welcomed by a delightful sight - colorful houses perched on the hills, overlooking the sparkling turquoise sea. The town has a warm and authentic feel, with charming narrow streets winding through the lively center.
Parga is famous for its gorgeous beaches. Valtos Beach is a favorite among tourists, with its golden sand and inviting waters. You can dive in for a refreshing swim, explore underwater wonders while snorkeling, or even try your hand at kayaking. Lichnos Beach is another gem, offering a peaceful sanctuary surrounded by greenery, where you can unwind and soak up the sun.
One of the highlights of Parga is its Venetian Castle, sitting proudly on a hilltop overlooking the town. The castle's ancient walls and towers take you back in time, and from its vantage point, you can marvel at panoramic views of Parga and the mesmerizing Ionian Sea. Exploring the castle's ruins is like unraveling a fascinating story of the past.
Parga's old town is a treat for the senses. Traditional architecture, vibrant colors, and charming shops fill the narrow streets. You can take a leisurely stroll, discover local crafts, and satisfy your taste buds with mouthwatering Greek dishes at family-owned tavernas. The friendly locals and lively atmosphere make you feel right at home, immersing you in the local culture.
Nature lovers will find joy in Parga's hiking trails. These paths wind through olive groves, fragrant pine forests, and breathtaking landscapes. Along the way, you'll stumble upon hidden coves and scenic viewpoints, where you can pause to take in the awe-inspiring vistas of the coastline and the lush green mountains that embrace Parga.
When the sun sets, Parga comes alive with its vibrant nightlife. Whether you prefer a lively bar playing traditional Greek music or a cozy café by the waterfront, you can relax and enjoy the lively ambiance while mingling with locals and fellow travelers.
