You will need to upgrade your firmware first for this to work. On the original firmware the result was you had no controls for movement at all from what I remember. Rename your 2600 paddle game to Warlords.a26. I'm guessing the old firmware ran some kind of checksum on the rom image first as well as checking the name of the rom.
