Opened in July 2014, G:link serves as an important light rail line serving the city areas of Gold Coast. It currently uses a single rolling stock model, #Bombardier #Flexity 2.

Flexity 2 is the latest family of trams introduced by Bombardier Transportation and is newer than the ones in use at Melbourne and Adelaide.

Areas that are not covered by the light rail are served by buses instead, operated by Surfside Buslines. Almost all of its fleet are made up of Bustech built buses.
