Описание к видео Louise Glück from The Poet's View. Narrated by Suzanne Pleshette.

A biographical look at the life of U.S. poet and Nobel laureate Louise Glück as told largely in her own words. In this program Ms. Glück recounts her childhood and her earliest influences. Additionally she details her youth's accompanying difficulties and the molding effects it had. In telling about her process she includes a portion on the importance of one's own history as an influence. She later discusses her thoughts on giving readings, and of the significance that teaching had in her life. Finally she shares her attitude on how she will face the events of the balance of her life, "there may be a poem in it."

Selected readings throughout as well as portions from an archival interview.

This program was produced in 2005.
