installing jones 5t heavy duty rear twin leaf springs | suspension upgrade | the crafty blinders

Hi and welcome to the Crafty Blinders van build channel
In this video and the next few that will follow we have undertaken the task of upgrading all of the original suspension and we start with installing jones 5t heavy duty rear springs twin leaf springs then replace the front torsion bar for a 5 tonne one, we complement this with a set of B6 Bilstein sports dampers and finally to top it all off we fit a an air assist kit to the rear axel.
By completely upgrading the existing suspension it's our intention to improve the overall handling, reduce body roll when cornering and reduce the effects of side wind loading on windy days, ultimately ending up with vehicle that can handle any terrain what ever we decide to throw at it!

Part 1 strip out existing leaf spring
Part 2 install Jones HD twin leaf springs
Part 3 strip out standard front torsion beam and dampers
Part 4 replace standard front dampers with Bilstein B6 dampers and fit a 5t torsion beam
Part 5 Fit air assist kit to the rear axel
