We use Wiimote on a PC to play FPS games

Описание к видео We use Wiimote on a PC to play FPS games

Let's use Wiimote and Nunchuk to play FPS games on PC, shall we, should we? We use the GlovePIE software to help us and compare how it feels to use the Wiimote to play FPS games on the Wii and on a PC.

Yes, I think the game should be made specifically for the Wiimote to work properly, but we can always try different fun ways to use the Wiimote on PC these days, as I'll try to show in these videos. My videos only show one way to use it, the way I like to use the Wiimote.

Some problems? Here are my tips, if these don't work for you, sorry, you're on your own.

1. I assume that you have already established a connection between the Wiimote and the PC.This video doesn't go into all the details, so check Google for more instructions.

2. The easiest way to test if the Wiimote works with a PC is to test the controller with the Wii Dolphin emulator. If the connection works between them, the Wiimote should also work with the GlovePIE program.

3. Finally, my personal experiences of using the GlovePIe program. I use the program with the Windows 10 operating system. Make sure Bluetooth is turned on. Press the Wiimote 1 and 2 buttons at the same time, and the controller will wake up ready for use. Open the GlovePIE-0.46 application, open the 'WiimotePlus+Nunchuk.PIE' file through the application (File & Open). Start the application with the RUN button, immediately after this press the 1 and 2 buttons again of the Wiimote at the same time. Leave the Wiimote on your desk when starting so it can calibrate. Wait until the first Wiimote LED lights up (some games require pressing the HOME button at this point), then it's READY to use.

Sometimes I also have trouble getting a connection between the Wiimote and GlovePIE, so I try this way: Go to the GlovePIE installation folder and look for the GlovePIE application launch icon. Next, find the desired WiimotePlus+Nunchuk.PIE file (I have saved these files in the same folder as the GlovePIE application). Use the mouse to grab the WiimotePlus+Nunchuk.PIE file and drag it onto the GlovePIE application launch icon. The GlovePIE app should now launch this way as well.

NOTE: Connecting the Wiimote to the PC usually takes 2-3 tries before it works, and after that the controller works perfectly.
