The UK's Education Secretary, Bridget Phillipson, has announced in the House of Commons that the cap on University Tuition Fees will rise from £9250 to £9535 per year - a rise of £285.

It's the first rise since 2017, and at odds with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer's election pledge that University Fees would be scrapped.

All UK Tuition Fees for Gibraltar students are paid for by the Government of Gibraltar.

The Shadow Education Secretary, Laura Trotts, said this was a betrayal of the Labour election manifesto pledge.
