Daniel Naim is the founder of Fennel, a mobile investing app that gives individual investors the power to create change through their investments. Born in California and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, Daniel returned to the U.S. to attend the University of California, Berkeley, where he graduated with a major in Astrophysics.

Driven by the curiosity and desire to make a positive impact on the world, Daniel enrolled in the Physics PhD program at the University of California, Davis, where he conducted research on dark matter detection.

Daniel’s interests expanded beyond academia when he took an "Econophysics" class at UC Davis, sparking his passion for the stock market and the intersection of data and investing. Combining his expertise in physics and his newfound interest in finance, Daniel created his own trading algorithms, leveraging data-driven insights to make informed investment decisions.

He then felt strongly that retail investors, like himself, needed a platform to push through change. As a result, Daniel founded Fennel in 2021 as he believed it was time for a product created by everyday investors for everyday investors.
