Through this video I have tried to cover all the categories of rooms at SURYAGARH Jaisalmer.
The video starts with quick entry shots of the majestic hotel and then I take you one by one to all the categories, starting with their top most category- The Haveli. It’s the same villa like accommodation where #bollywood actors #kiaraadvani & #siddharthmalhotra stayed during their wedding at this gorgeous property.

Second category- The Pavilion. It’s their basic category. To be honest, it was quite spacious to be called basic. Nice and chic, with the washroom being as huge as the room itself. Nicely equipped to ensure you have a comfortable stay.
We booked this category for 2N/3D while we were there.
Later we were given an upgrade to the Heritage room, as there was a party happening at the lawns behind our room and was causing us a lot of discomfort.

Third category-Heritage Room.
To my utter surprise, it was not even half the size of our pavilion room . The washroom was a major disappointment, just about one third size of pavilion. Only aspect that was slightly better in comparison to the base category was the view that was overlooking the Tulsi Courtyard.

Out of experience, I’d would suggest booking the Pavilion category when you book Suryagarh. Although , theres not much difference between the tarrifs of Pavilion & Heritage .

All in all my experience was not as majestic and great as the Hotel seems to promise. I have had better, rather far better experiences at other properties.
Food was average.
Buffet breakfast could be better. Staff were polite and courteous, but didn’t waste a second to refuse when we requested them for an upgrade, despite the fact that booked them to celebrate my special occasion. In my case, it was my Birthday.
I have stayed at a number of Taj and Oberoi properties, they have always honoured our requests for an upgrade, simply by the virtue that we chose to stay with them to ring in our special occasion.

Lastly on the my check out day, I ended up with a very high fever, 102, I walked up to d reception, requested a senior staff to get me a thermometer. They made me wait for two hour and still failed to get one.

Whereas , the same day we checked in at #marriott Jaisalmer, on requesting them, they immediately arranged for a car and sent one of their staff to get me a thermometer and other medicines I had asked them to get it for me.

To sum it up, I’d say that the property was outstanding, their cultural evenings were the best , but somehow there was something amiss.perhaps their casual approach towards their guests.
