Spinning line twist - bad skydiving opening

This has been the worst opening I had with my current canopy (Volt 150).
As you can see from the video everything started to spin immediately and the canopy kept dragging me down for at least 20 seconds after that.

I know that the recommended response in this kind of situation is to cut away and go for your reserve, but I felt the spinning was losing its steam and that I could save it.

I managed to get a good canopy above my head at ~1750ft, as you can see at 00:42. I know that is a bit low, but I was checking my altitude often, I was right on top of the DZ and I was confident I could fix it so I went for it.

This was my jump 948 and it was at Skydive Salerno, Italy.
