Silkworm Gameplay. MAME Retro Classic Arcade Video Game Silkworm (Tecmo 1988) precursor of SWIV, heli & jeep action game play. Silkworm is a side scrolling shooter arcade game, developed by Tecmo and first released for arcade in 1988. Is a super funny & classic arcade videogame. One 1 credit gameplay. Jamma arcade machine game. In 1989 it was ported to the Amiga, Atari ST, Commodore 64, ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC and NES (1990) systems by The Sales Curve and released by Virgin Mastertronic.

Silkworm also spawned what many consider to be a spiritual successor to the game - SWIV.[citation needed] While SWIV was not a direct sequel, it followed the same core gameplay design of a helicopter/jeep team, albeit as a vertically scrolling shooter instead of a horizontally scrolling one. SWIV was described in the game's manual to mean both "Special Weapons Intercept Vehicles" and "Silkworm IV".

Silkworm (Tecmo 1988) es un videojuego arcade de acción y disparos, comúnmente llamado "juego de naves" de scroll horizontal en el que podemos manejar un helicóptero o un jeep. Un clásico de máquina recreativa y salones recreativos o arcade. He echado una partida a este divertido juego para que veais que no deja ni un momento de respiro. Diversión total, sobretodo jugando dos jugadores simultáneamente.
