1. “Have We not expanded your chest for you?”
Allah reminds the Prophet ﷺ of how He has opened his heart—emotionally and spiritually—giving him strength to bear the responsibility of prophethood.

2. “And We removed from you your burden”
Refers to the weight of sorrow or the struggle he faced in early dawah, which Allah alleviated.

3. “Which had weighed upon your back”
This burden was difficult, but Allah relieved it.

4. “And raised high your reputation for you”
The name of Prophet Muhammad ﷺ is mentioned with Allah’s name in the call to prayer and in prayers, giving him honor and status.

5–6. “So, verily, with hardship comes ease. Verily, with hardship comes ease.”
These verses are repeated for emphasis. Allah promises that difficulty is always accompanied by ease, offering comfort during tough times.

7–8. “So when you are free, devote yourself. And to your Lord direct your longing.”
These verses encourage staying spiritually connected—once you're done with worldly tasks, turn toward your Lord in devotion and seek Him always.
