Tom Malone was born on November 29th, 1915 in a small house in New Orleans Louisiana. He grew up in a broken home, and as a teenager followed the ways of his father, tobacco had a grip on his life and he would steal chickens and sell them to buy tobacco. However the Lord is merciful, a Methodist circuit-riding preacher named W.A. Campbell, a lover of souls came to Tom and said "I have been praying for you I want you to be saved. In a revival meeting shortly thereafter at the Isabell Methodist Church, preacher Campbell preacher a message from the word of God and pleaded for lost sinners to come and know the Saviour. A 19-year-old Tom living in poverty, discouragement, and frustration responded to the plea and was gloriously saved.

Shortly after that Tom Malone was called to be a preacher, went to Cleveland, Tennessee with his newfound faith, and enrolled in Bob Jones College under the tutelage of Bob Jones Sr.

It was there, that doors began to open, Tom met his wife, Joyce, and started to take opportunities to preach and win souls.

Tom was for a time a traveling Evangelist and pastored several Methodist churches, through time he began to realize the Bible as his supreme authority, came out of the Methodist church, and became a simple Bible-believing Baptist.

In 1942, God opened a door for Tom Malone to start the Emmanuel Baptist Church in the Old Castle Inn. It was the beginning of a ministry of winning souls and Bible preaching. The church grew over the years into a church that ran thousands, The music was Christ-honoring, the bible was believed, a college (Midwestern Baptist Bible college) was started to train preachers, and this wonderful ministry of Tom Malone, the Preacher from Pontiac lasted until his graduation into glory in 2007.
