Not everyone knows what type of carburettor they have in their car this process covers both types and hopefully improves your chances of getting started !

Helpful startup technique aimed at people who are not sure of which carburettor is fitted under the bonnet and just want to get going, this procedure should help with both Webber or standard SU there’s no harm in trying this recommended technique .
If you find you have a standard SU Carburettor the 2 step pump of accelerator can be omitted from the procedure. This has no harmful effect, on these older cars with worn or slightly different settings and once practiced and you have found the perfect startup technique without flooding the carburettors on your classic car stick with it !!
