This is chapter 1 of NCERT Science Class 7 Textbook titled Nutrition in Plants where I have discussed about mode of nutrition in plants like autotrophic mode of nutrition and heterotrophic mode of nutrition. The structure of cells have been discussed. Also how exactly the process of photosynthesis takes place in the leaves and other parts of the plant has also been discussed. The activity that proves that leaves do photosynthesis and produce starch/carbohydrate has been demonstrated. Other modes of nutrition in plants have also been discussed like the parasitic plants, the insectivorous plants etc. Saprotrophs which grow by the nutrients of the dead and decaying matter has also been discussed. Nitrogen fixation in leguminous plants and how soil gets nitrogen from fertilizers have been explained. Watch the video for more details.
