Shadow Man | Android Gameplay Test | Flycast + Fixes

Shadow Man is a cult classic action-adventure horror video game developed by Acclaim Studios Teesside and published by Acclaim Entertainment. It was published 1998 and the Sega Dreamcast port was released in fall 1999. This game has a special place in my heart because of Its unique story and gloomy atmosphere what no other title could accomplish. The gameplay has not aged that well but it ain't batshit either.

I ran this game with the europe rom and set the resolution scaling to 2.5x (1200p). As you can see in the video, the fps drops were very bad and the audio also felt poorly mixed. It's because the audio driver was changed to "android" due to its being totally pin drop silent after recording on Opened. So, I had to change it. If you're going to play this game casually, be sure to check the driver is OpenSL selected. It will also improve the performance. So, I can say I had constant 60 fps with dips here and there playing it in that setting with the screen recorder off.

Note: The video being stretched is because of I used widescreen hack.
