Follow us on Instagram - @saltysax & @hellohollyk A couple of young sailors half a world away from home getting back the slow way. We managed sailing off the anchor in almost no wind before heading out to sea and down the coast to Punta Abreojos. The satisfaction of pulling up the anchor while under sail just awesome!

We spent a week in Bahia de Tortugas (Turtle Bay), stocking up on groceries, cleaning the boat and playing lots of board games. The bay was full of sailors young and old. As a consistent northerly breeze filled in, we hoisted the sails and continued our voyage south to Punta Abreojos, a 110nm trip.

Wind dancing, science experiments and some successful fishing with the handline. It was a successful voyage, and we were so excited to get in to Punta Abreojos, mostly as it is close to a well-known whale sanctuary and whale sightings are common in the area. Unfortunately there were no whale sightings in Abreojos, but we still had a great time eating fish tacos, drinking pina coladas and exploring the town!
