Cuban bassist and singer Alain Pérez is an eminence in the salsa, latin-jazz and flamenco scene. He was the band leader of singer Celia Cruz for years and bassist for flamenco guitarist Pace de Lucía for six years.

Pérez knows the Cuban tradition like no other and brought the so-called 'descarga' to Music Meeting.
'Descarga' literally means: discharge. It is a way of communicating with each other through music and was introduced in the 1940s by Cuban bassist Israel "Cachao" López.
