This is one of my absolute favourite games of the 1990s.
Round 17 1999, North Melbourne versus Essendon.
A couple of things stick out in my mind about this game.
The first was Wayne Carey kicking 10 goals in the losing side, something that has happened a few times before and that is always astounding.
The second thing I remember is that I was so happy it was a good game because even though I don't go for the two sides, I really was excited about the match.
I had found out about the death of my great grandmother that morning so I remember wanting something to take my mind off everything just for a little while and this game lived up to the bill.
