The Enforcement Directorate (ED) detained Prem Prakash, a close aide to Chief Minister Hemant Soren, on Thursday morning in connection with the illegal mining case in Jharkhand. He has been remanded to six days in ED custody. The action was taken in response to the agency seizing cash totaling Rs. 11.88 crores from Mishra's 37 bank accounts. The money that was confiscated belonged to Mishra, a man named Dahoo Yadav, and their friends. Times Now has access to the aide's remand copy, which includes a list of the justifications for the aide's custody. It states that remand is necessary for the ED to identify the proceeds of crime.
