音楽業界から身を引いた後、高校の英語教師として教壇に立つ。
退く理由として「コマーシャルな世界では歌いたくない」としている。

教育現場がステージとなった彼ではあるが、その類い希ないソウルフルな歌唱力は世界も認める実力派シンガーである！
