Sirajuddioula, the last independent Nawab of Bengal, Bihar, and Orissa, was assassinated at the so-called Namak Haram Deori after the battle of Palassey in 1757.

The reason for calling it Namk Haram Deori, On the orders of Mir Zafar and Miron, Muhammad-i-Beg assassinated Siraj ud-Daulah so that Mir Zafar could be the next Nawab of Bengal.

Nimakharam is a Hindi word meaning someone who cannot be trusted and Deuri means door. So the word ‘namak haram deuri’ means the door of the unbeliever or the door of the unfaithful. The palace with this minaret was then guarded by guards and cannons.

However, at present there is no splendor or sign of the palace, but this famous deity still stands as a testimony to Mir Zafar's salty bastard. According to Sher Mutakarin, Mohammadi Beg killed Nawab Siraj on the orders of Miron. On July 2, 1757, Sirajuddaula died under a neem tree on the side of the highway near Murshidabad.

According to Robert Orm, Siraj was killed at Mansurganj Palace on the banks of baghirathi.
