A quick and catchy song from Israeli-American musician Yoav Gerber, previously of Friends of John's, itself a stage name for the singer-songwriter, who had no intention of letting the fact that he doesn’t have a band stand in the way of his lifelong dream of having a band.
Not trying to change the world this time, his new songs, his first release in over 5 years, were each recorded in a single 9 hour session with producer Shai Saadia, and feature a marked departure from the melodic rock showcased by Friends of John’s, but with the same focus on evocative lyrics and a catchy tune.
The name of the song is the result of an autocorrect error, which he left because he thought it was amusing, much like the homage in the song to his favorite band, which only avid listeners would pick up on anyway.
