Chana Dal Vada Recipe
Ingredients:

1 cup Chana Dal (soaked for 2 hours)
1 big onion (chopped)
4 green chilies (chopped)
1 spoon salt
½ spoon jeera (cumin)
4-5 garlic cloves
1-inch ginger piece
4 cloves
Oil for frying
Steps:

1. In a mixer jar, add soaked Chana Dal, salt, jeera, garlic, ginger, and cloves. Grind in pulse mode 4-5 times to create a coarse mixture.
2.Transfer to a bowl and mix in chopped onions and green chilies. Let it rest for 5 minutes.
3.Heat oil in a kadai. Shape small portions of the mixture into vadas and fry them in the hot oil until golden brown.
4.Remove and serve hot with avakai pachadi (mango pickle).
Punukulu Recipe

Ingredients:

1 cup Urad Dal (soaked for 2 hours)
2 cups Rice Flour
1 big onion (chopped)
4 green chilies (chopped)
6 curry leaves (chopped)
1 spoon salt
1 spoon jeera (cumin)
Oil for frying

Steps:

1.Grind soaked Urad Dal with little water to make a smooth batter (dosa batter consistency).
2.Add rice flour, chopped onions, green chilies, jeera, curry leaves, and salt to the batter. Mix well.
3.Ensure the consistency allows for shaping small balls.
4.Heat oil in a kadai. Drop small balls of the mixture into the oil and fry until golden brown.
5.Remove and serve hot with avakai pachadi (mango pickle).
