Set between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope, Star Wars: The Force Unleashed follows the story of Starkiller; the secret apprentice of Darth Vader. Showcasing characters old and new, the Force Unleashed takes the power of (you guessed it) the Force and turns it up to an insane scale.

After acquiring a force-sensitive child on Kashyyyk, Darth Vader decided to train the boy in secret as his new apprentice. Sending him on several discreet missions across the galaxy, Vader had Starkiller (the apprentice) kill three Jedi Masters. Judging him to be prepared enough for his ultimate test, Darth Vader instructs Starkiller to meet him so they can finally overthrow the Emperor. Things don't go as planned, for the Emperor discovered their ruse and gave Darth Vader an ultimatum; kill Starkiller or die himself. Choosing his life of torment, Vader turned on his apprentice and sent him crashing through space.

While the story may appear over, Starkiller's true destiny is still at work. Still under the command of Darth Vader, Starkiller is now tasked with uniting the enemies of the Empire in order to make them easy prey for the Emperor. He's already found Jedi Master Kota, and Starkiller has also rescued Princess Leia from the Empire on Kashyyyk. Shortly after, Starkiller moved to find and secure Bail Organa from the clutches of Shaak-Ti's former apprentice, sparing her once he saved Bail. With his newfound allies all united, Starkiller destroyed an Imperial shipyard in the hopes that it would inspire those who oppose the Empire to rebel.

Although the destruction of the Shipyard influenced the birth of the Rebellion, things quickly turned sour when Darth Vader arrived to the meeting. Choosing this moment to betray his apprentice once more, Vader revealed that he never intended to overthrow the Emperor with Starkiller, and instead chose to use him as a tool. With the Rebel leaders captured and held on the Death Star, Starkiller moves to finally fulfill his destiny.

Dark Side Ending:

Rather than attempting to save the Rebellion, Starkiller chose revenge and killed Darth Vader. Given the option to either join The Emperor or kill Master Kota, Starkiller attacked The Emperor, causing the Sith Lord to destroy Juno and the rest of the Rebels. His body broken in a similar manner to Darth Vader, Starkiller now serves as a tool of The Emperor, eliminating his enemies across the galaxy, including our familiar friends on both Hoth and Tatooine...

Without further ado, let's begin the Hoth mission for one of the greatest Star Wars games to ever be released; Star Wars The Force Unleashed on the Xbox One X...
