Reliance Industries held its 41st Annual General Meeting today in which Chairman Mukesh Ambani laid down the roadmap for future growth, while also informing the shareholders of the business growth of each vertical. In this chunk, he speaks of RIL’s Oil & Gas exploration and production business citing his belief in the potential and promise of India's deep waters. He says he is aware that local E&P operations delivered lower value to shareholders but he is constructively engaged with the Government on cost recovery in E&P ops. He says the US shale gas business has contributed $1 billion in revenues and he will optimise investment in upstream shale gas JVs, promising the E&P business has high latent value creation potential.
