Men in fiction are changing. Bill from The Last of Us episode 3 is a prime example, but the male characters in Arcane, Stranger Things, Knives Out, the Mandalorian, Logan, and even real people whose stories have become popularized in movies like Richard Williams in King Richard, Desmond Doss in Hacksaw Ridge, and Elvis. But what's most interesting about this phenomenon is that the characters are still traditionally masculine overall, but through emphasis and de-emphasis and rearranging certain traits from our internal "lists" of what's masculine and what's not.
