Her pivotal role in establishing Kosovo's institutions post-1999 war while working at the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo, showcases her commitment to education in the region. Aferdita Krasniqi will delve into her remarkable personal educational journey, both before and after the Kosovo war, highlighting how it paved the way for new opportunities and a transformative life in the United States.

Aferdita Krasniqi, an Outreach and Recruitment Specialist at the Institute of International Education (IIE) in New York City, works on the Fulbright Scholar Program. She manages the Fulbright Scholar Alumni Ambassador Program, leads initiatives with Fulbright Scholar Liaisons in U.S. campuses, and serves as a Lead for Europe and Eurasia region. Before joining IIE in 2017, Aferdita's background included working as a Cultural Exchanges Advisor at the U.S. Embassy in Kosovo for 17 years.
