The Harford County Board of Education decided to terminate the rest of superintendent Sean Bulson's contract. The unanimous vote comes amid an investigation into a reported robbery involving Bulson, who was then placed on administrative leave. Still, a report from the Maryland Office of the Inspector General for Education found Bulson's devices weren't stolen at an out-of-state education conference. The report also found the incident to be a "personal matter" involving an individual reporting a crime. The review did help trigger disciplinary action against Bulson, though. The board decided to enact clause 10B of his contract, which allows the board to unilaterally terminate the superintendent within 30 days' written notice.
