Hello everyone! How to make an ionometer? What is he capable of? What is ion wind? You will find out the answers to all these questions, as well as to many others, by watching this video.
Some time ago I decided to make an ionolet. And now, finally, I was able to carry out my plans. The design of the ionometer is quite simple: a lightweight frame on which aluminum foil and copper wire are fixed. I used thin wooden slats for the frame. They should be as light as possible and it is best to use balsa for these purposes. I didn't have such a material, so I used bamboo slats.
I fixed aluminum foil around the perimeter of the ionolet. It is necessary to ensure that the foil is without sharp edges in the upper part, because in such places corona discharges will occur, which will not allow the ionolete to take off.
At a distance of three centimeters from the foil, I fixed a copper wire with a diameter of 0.1 millimeters. A voltage of 30,000 volts will be applied to this wire and to the foil, which is necessary for the operation of the ionometer. By the way, I used a homemade high-voltage generator as a power source:

The first attempts to lift the ionolet into the air were unsuccessful. It took me several dozen times to make adjustments and adjustments before the ionolet took off. And in the end, everything worked out! You can look at the assembly process of the ionometer, as well as its tests in this video.
