In Part 4 of this all-access series, we explore the Pitino effect on a program looking for a resurgence. We also meet some of the new players familiar with Pitino’s coaching style and how they can help St. John’s in the upcoming college basketball season.


Rising Storm presented by Maspeth Federal Savings is a 4-part docu-series that will introduce Red Storm fans and people throughout the country to the players that will make up the 2023-24 team as they embark on their season. After an unprecedented off-season that saw the team bring in Hall of Fame coach Rick Pitino and 11 transfers, each episode will highlight a different set of athletes. The series will be tethered together by a shared goal among the players of bringing St. John’s back to the top of the Big East.
