This smaller park has a 178-acre pond to enjoy swimming at the beach area, fishing, boating, or kayaking. No pets at the beach. Beach hours 7am to 8pm. Kayaks can be rented in season.

There is a newer campground to enjoy with 48 campsites with 32 being full hookups. (Electric, sewer and water). Dump station by the bathhouse. The sites are spread out, and newer trees continue to grow to provide more shade. Maximum stay is 14 days. Reservations can be made but there are some first come first served spots also.

There is a nice shower house and playground nearby. Pets are allowed if on a leash. Firewood available for a fee.

You can also rent cabins at this area. 10 miles of hiking in the area.

John H Witte Jr Observatory Complex is available for stargazing by reservation only.
