Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT) examination is modern imaging technique for the assessment of the optic nerve head and the nerve fibres, which can be affected by different pathological processes like glaucoma, optic neuritis, traumatic optic neuropathy or optic nerve hypoplasia. These details of back of the eye cannot be found with no other examination method in such non invasive, atraumatic, safe and fast approach as OCT. In case of retinal pathlogy like Retinitis Pigmentosa the OCT allows to make the precise localization of pathological (or degenerative) process in each retinal layers and diagnose the causes for vision loss or disturbances of eyesight.
