Karuvattu Kuzhambu or Salted Fish Curry is a traditional recipe from south india. There are many versions of this recipe. Most of them calls for a variety of vegetables to be included. While this method has a taste of its own, I prefer to focus on a few ingredients so that we get a more intense flavor, hence the absence of vegetables.

Ingredients:-
Salted red snapper bones - 4 pieces
6 stalks of dried chillies,
1 tbsp of Mustard seeds.
1 tbsp of Cumin seeds,
1 tsp of fenugreek seeds,
1 tbsp Dhal,
9 cloves of garlic,
2 stalks of curry leaves
20 shallots
3 tbsp of dried chili powder,
2 tbsp of Coriander powder,
1 tbsp of cumin powder,
1 tomato
1 cup of tamarind juice.
