Flute Spotlight: Guo Composite Flutes

Geoffrey Guo is a Taiwanese flutemaker and innovator. After losing his flute factory in an earthquake, he decided to go back to basics and redesign the flute for the 21st century: the result was the Guo Grenaditte flute.

In this video, flute consultant Hannah Clark play tests the Guo Grenaditte, New Voice and Tocco Plus flutes, all of which are made almost entirely from plastic!
