David Ruffin Interview (1991) | Rare Footage | One of his last interviews before he passed

On this day back in 1991....32 years ago, we've lost a legend that'll never be forgotten. David Ruffin of The Temptations passed away today back in 1991 from a overdose at the age of 50.

Instead of mourning his lost that has lasted for over 30 years, as usual, we'll celebrate his life and keep his legacy alive!

I wanted to share with you this footage from the 1992 documentary, "The Original Leads of the Temptations," when David was in one of his last interviews before he passed that same year in 1991. Although it's not the full footage, I'd thought it was cool to piece those footages together. He talks about meeting Berry Gordy before Motown and his gospel background, how the Temptations connected in harmony. When he was kicked out of the Temptations, and showing love and respect to Dennis Edwards (his replacement in mid-1968) and Eddie Kendricks.

David will live on forever in all of us. Despite his troubled soul and the many things he'd been throughout his life, he was always known for being a talented, tall, slim, Temptation legend. As long as we keep his legacy alive, his spirit will live on forever and will always be remember ❤️.
