In the earlier years of the seconds generation of the Nissan Rogue, you could actually check the oil level since the transmissions came with dipsticks. After that, Nissan removed the dipstick and stopped saying in its manual that you can check the fluid level in these cars, so the transmissions are sealed.

But the dipstick hole is still there and you may actually buy an aftermarket dipstick and see the level of fluid in your transmission. The problem is that those dipsticks are extremely inaccurate and you will have to figure out how to understand if the fluid is on the proper level. Also, avoid low-quality cheap dipsticks and don’t leave them in the transmission when driving.
