For the first time, the Ministry of Agriculture and FAO Lebanon organized a four-day training on “Basics of Epidemiology and Disease Surveillance”. The training aimed to strengthen Lebanon’s veterinary services and build their capacity to detect, monitor and respond to animal diseases. Veterinarians from the Ministry of Agriculture, port of entries and centers across all Lebanon areas and the Lebanese Agricultural Research Institute (LARI) took part in the sessions.
