WEIRD GEAR - Dig Dug DIY's "Purple Rain" 8-Bit Processor - Unboxing & Demo

Описание к видео WEIRD GEAR - Dig Dug DIY's "Purple Rain" 8-Bit Processor - Unboxing & Demo

If you are not familiar with a maker named Dig Dig DIY, they make unique and fun little audio processors and tools like this, the Purple Rain, which is described as a "dusted 8-bit audio computer" for "ultra hazy days that stay purple." I have no idea what that means but let's try to find out.

In this video, I do a quick unboxing to show you what you get and then a quick demonstration of what it does. I use my PO-33 KO as the audio source and we'll mangle that source with this Purple Rain device. This video documents literally my first experience with it. You are hearing it for the first time just as I did. All that is to say that I am in no way experienced with this device or how to get the best sounds out of it so.... this is a rough demo for sure. Either way, I hope you find it entertaining and interesting.

For information on this device and other cool things made by Dig Dug DIY, check out their website:

I'm also taking this opportunity to announce a new album that is coming out September 18th 2020. I would be honored if you chose to give it a listen. You'll notice that I don't have ads on my channel. I don't ask people to contribute to a Patreon (not that there's anything wrong with that) but if anyone wants to support me, I would love for you to pick up some of my music. It's widely available on all music platforms but I personally prefer Bandcamp as they are fair and equitable to artists.

My new album 'Passage' is available here:

There's a special preview of the record at the end of this video as well.

Hey, let's connect on socials too!
